Hi I’m Jeff Mootz

I’ve spent the last 23 years growing in prayer, with most of that time in full-time prayer and pastoral ministry. Still deciding between the book and the Journey? here are answers to the most common questions for more clarity.

The book and workbook are specifically designed for small groups or pairs to go through it together. As a group, you read one chapter per week, commit to daily personal prayer, applying the chapter content in your prayer times, and then you discuss all those topics and the end-of-chapter discussion questions during your small group times. These discussions bring each group member clarity, strength to keep going, and a deeper sense of friendship with one another as they make Jesus the center of their dialogue.

Jeff and Bethany lead in-person and online groups through these books, and so do other churches. Everything you need to lead a group, as well as the order of assignments, is listed chronologically as you go along.

The prayer book has the teaching content, application assignments, and some discussion questions, so it’s substantial by itself for any person or group. The Workbook adds to it by giving you deeper questions on the chapter content (reflection questions, Bible study questions, discussion questions), and ways to process and track your daily prayer times so that the book content gets full digested and lived out. It has also has prayer assignment pages where certain chapter assignments are written out in more detail on a worksheet.

Individuals or small groups would read one chapter in the book, then work through the corresponding Workbook chapter and discuss their Workbook answers in small group. Readers would write out their weekly prayer schedule in the Workbook and journal about their daily prayer times in the daily journal section of each chapter in the Workbook.

The workbook is FREE as a PDF download with the purchase of a book, or you can buy both paperback books together. The PDF version allows you to type or write in it on any device (phones, laptops, iPads, etc.).

Prayer Coaching is discipleship or mentoring that is focused on growing you in prayer and friendship with God through the Fascinated Prayer Book and Workbook. The Online Zoom calls will help you maximize your growth by offering you experienced answers, guidance, pastoral encouragement and accountability, assuring you finish the course and get the most out of it that you can in this season.
